DENVER (CBS4) – The rain and snow mix really put a real damper on outdoor activities like Denver Public Schools’ annual Shakespeare Festival on Friday.
An estimated 5,000 students took part in the 32nd annual Shakespeare Festival on the 16th Street Mall plus 14 stages inside and outside at the Denver Performing Arts Complex.

The festival is one of the oldest and largest student celebrations of Shakespeare in the country.
The day-long event featured performances of sonnets and scenes from Shakespeare’s many works, plus dance, vocal and instrumental music from Shakespeare’s time.
