DENVER (CBS4)- This weekend unofficially marks the start of summer in Colorado. You’ll find plenty of options both inside a movie theater and outside at an arts festival.
This year marks the 15th anniversary of the Downtown Denver Arts Festival. They’re celebrating the event by moving back to the place where it all started- the Denver Performing Arts Complex.
The festival began as an event dedicated to supporting the work of Colorado artists. More than 100 local artists will be represented and selected artists from around the nation will also be showcased at the festival.
The festival is free to visit but CBS4 Critic at Large Greg Moody suggests bringing your checkbook. Last year art fans carried off more than $500,000 worth of Colorado-created art.
The Downtown Denver Arts Festival is Friday through Sunday at the DPAC.
